the 15th century. Today, there are standard manual toothbrushes, battery powered toothbrushes, sonic toothbrushes, and a few more toothbrushes we're not thinking about right now.

I recently came across a story about the world's most expensive toothbrush, and I thought it would be fun to share with you what buying the most expensive toothbrush in the world gets you. Here are 10 facts about the world's most expensive toothbrush:

  1. It is made by a German company called Reinast.
  2. The toothbrush costs a measly $4200. You might have cut back on fuel for your private jet to afford it, but that's it. $4200.
  3. You could fill up your gas tank roughly 100 times for the same price as this toothbrush.
  4. The Reinast Luxury Toothbrush is made of "premium" titanium. On its website, the Reinast advertises itself as using only titanium of the highest grade "renowned for its biocompatibility, lightweight, and super strength."
  5. Most people would assume that a $4200 toothbrush would have some sort of mechanical function. In this case, most people would be wrong. The world's most expensive toothbrush does not have a motor, no moving parts, and no battery. This $4200 toothbrush is 100% manually operated.
  6. The Reinast Luxury Toothbrush's only mechanical feature is a screw that you can loosen to swap out the bristle heads that will eventually wear out.
  7. The world's most expensive toothbrush comes in four colors: titanium, champagne, rose, and matte-black.
  8. Additional service plans can be purchased. They start at $400 for five years. When you're buying a $4200 toothbrush you need to protect your investment.
  9. The company offers special anti-bacterial bumpers in case you don't like the feeling or taste of a $4200 titanium toothbrush in your mouth.
  10. Thankfully, this expensive toothbrush is designed to last a lifetime.
