3 Cosmetic Dentistry Treatments That Can Completely Transform Your Smile

My wife and I especially love two things about our jobs. As dentists, we get to help people that are in pain and relieve their suffering, and when we perform cosmetic dentistry treatments like Invisalign® or something as simple as teeth whitening, we get to see it change people's lives. The latter of those awesome parts of our job may sound a little grandiose, but I've actually performed cosmetic dentistry treatments on patients who have told me that they've never smiled. The change in their demeanor when their teeth are properly aligned, or when they can flash a big smile of healthy white teeth is simply amazing. If you're a person that has never showed your smile, it can change everything.

Cosmetic dentistry treatments can be small procedures performed in one visit, or they can be part of a longer treatment plan. Here are a few common treatments and a little about what they will do for your smile:

  1. Opalescence Teeth Whitening - We've been offering Opalescence Teeth Whitening treatments for years. It's convenient because we can tailor different treatment options depending on the strength you need, and how it's most convenient for you to use. Opalescence Go, for example, comes as a set of pre-filled whitening trays. They're comfortable and convenient for most people, and I've been quite impressed with the results I've seen. Opalescence Boost, on the other hand, is a chairside treatment. It only takes about 40 minutes to perform and produces some great results!
  1. Invisalign® - Invisalign® has been around for a long time. Invisalign® uses gentle force delivered via clear plastic aligners over time to straighten your teeth. It's a popular orthodontic treatment for several reasons. For adults, it's nice because it's almost impossible to tell you're wearing it. This makes the treatment more comfortable for those that might be self conscious about getting braces. No wires. No metal. Invisalign® is also popular because there are no food restrictions. If you elect to get braces, you have to avoid eating and drinking a lot things to keep your teeth clean and your investment working to straighten your teeth. Otherwise, you might end up with worse oral complications than when you started.
  1. Porcelain Veneers - Porcelain veneers have grown in popularity quite a bit since we've been offering them as a cosmetic dentistry service. This is partly because of the number of celebrities that choose to get veneers. Veneers give many people the "Hollywood" smile they really want. Veneers are great if you have excessively worn or stained teeth, or chips you would like to cover up.
